Cider Donuts with Apple Moonshine Glaze
I was really proud of how this one came out! It took me a while to get them right, but I figured out a few things through trial and error.
Don’t knead the dough too much, and let it rest in the fridge overnight for over 12 hours.
Don’t knead the dough too little either. I think I did that, and the donuts ended up exploding in the oil. Just mix the dry with the wet ingredients for 2 minutes or so. Maybe. Maybe more? WHO KNOWS. Probably a real baker…
Just fry for about 1 minute per side at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Everywhere I looked said they should fry for 2 minutes per side. I did that, but the donuts ended up getting way too dark and greasy.
This recipe is not my own. Check it out on BonAppetite.com!
