Cider Donuts with Apple Moonshine Glaze

Cider Donuts with Apple Moonshine Glaze

I was really proud of how this one came out! It took me a while to get them right, but I figured out a few things through trial and error.

  • Don’t knead the dough too much, and let it rest in the fridge overnight for over 12 hours.

  • Don’t knead the dough too little either. I think I did that, and the donuts ended up exploding in the oil. Just mix the dry with the wet ingredients for 2 minutes or so. Maybe. Maybe more? WHO KNOWS. Probably a real baker…

  • Just fry for about 1 minute per side at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Everywhere I looked said they should fry for 2 minutes per side. I did that, but the donuts ended up getting way too dark and greasy.

This recipe is not my own. Check it out on BonAppetite.com!
