Hummus
My Simple Hummus Recipe:
1 Can Chick Peas (15 oz)
1/3 Cup water from can
1/3 Cup Tahini
Juice from One Lemon
1/2 tsp Salt
Pepper to taste
1 tsp Ground Cumin
1 tsp Ground Coriander
1/3 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
First Shred the Garlic. Then add everything but the Olive Oil. Then Shred! For about a minute, scraping as you go. Then, slowly add Olive Oil and shred for another minute.
I have a processor that lets me add the oil as it processes, which is fantastic. But if you are working with a regular blender or something, you can work in batches adding the oil a little at a time. Just don't add it all at once or it wont blend properly!
